San Jose Sting

Elena Fata recently committed to play softball at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and for Head Coach Lonni Alameda. Elena will join other Sting Gold player Jessica Barry this Fall as incoming freshman for the Runnin Rebels. " Lonni is getting a terrific player who will instantly solidify her infield. Elena makes plays and gets you outs". says Sting Gold Asst.Coach Chris Rouppet  "A clutch player who always delivers when needed because she is a winner. That's all she knows how to do is win". Referring to Fata's so far storied career at San Benito High School where she has helped lead her teams to three CCS D1 titles (2 in softball and 1 recently in basketball). Elena also participated on her High School tennis team were she made it to the league singles championship and to the section playoffs in doubles in her first ever try playing the sport!  Named the Cal Hi Sports Northern California Female Athlete of the week last month. Congratulations to the Fata family.
