San Jose Sting

Sting Gold -Perales third baseman Robyn Araujo signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at the Notre Dame de Namur University this fall. The senior at Westmont High school in Campbell was instrumental in last summer's 7th place finish in Gold Nationals with a solid bat and glove that drew the attention of many college coaches. Arajuo, a 4 year Honor roll student including being on the Presedential Honor roll wanted strong academics , to stay in Northern California and play on team where she can make an immediete impact. The BVAL Sophomore and Junior player of the year and  First team shortstop made the most logical choice. Robyn who also plays basketball suffered a  season ending ACL injury a couple of months ago in a game which has forced her to be sidelined through summer travel ball season.  The senior has already begun physical therapy and is already ahead of pace.
