San Jose Sting

The Sting enjoyed a very relaxed weekend playing in the Las Vegas Showcase. All opponents and the heat could not stop the Sting as they hammered all 5 teams by a score of 52-2. Only having 2 uncommitted players getting the bulk of the playing time and extended batting lineups from 11-13 each game, provided a fun weekend for all. 2009 Pitcher, Marissa Ibbara was phenominal on the mound. Throwing a complete game shutout in game #1 and coming back to start game #2 and throwing another shutout in limited work.  Sting batters hit 11HR's including 5 in one game.  Alyssa Nakken( Sac St) 3HR's, Keilani Ricketts(Oklahoma) 2HR's, Stephanie Ricketts (Hawaii) 2HR's, Molly Medeiros(LMU) HR, Lauren Maslak(2010) HR, Jessica Abelia (Son.St)HR and Jane Alexander (Harvard) HR.
