Accomplishment: Ricketts, who has made an oral commitment to play at Oklahoma, helped the Monarchs to a crucial victory over West Catholic Athletic League rival Notre Dame-Belmont on Saturday with her arm and her bat. Ricketts improved to 8-0 by allowing just two hits and striking out 12 in a 2-0 victory. She also hit her second home run of the year and a double. She was 4 for 9 last week and is batting over .400. "Keilani can overpower batters and has excellent movement on her fastball," Mitty Coach Sarah Thomas said. "Her off-speed stuff has improved. At the plate she has shortened up her swing and become more consistent."
