About Us

Katelyn “Roup” Rouppet has verballed to the University of
Oklahoma. Katelyn has been with the Sting since her 14 year old
season and contributed to her Sting team placing 5th and 9th at
ASA Nationals. Roup will be joining Chana’e Jones and Sam Ricketts
in Oklahoma and we’re excited for all three of these players.
Nichole Perales has verballed to The Ohio State University. Nic
has been with the Sting all of her softball career and has been to
ASA Nationals five out of six years where she has two 5th place
and one 9th place finish. She was voted First Team All league last
year for Valley Christian High in the WCAL league and looks forward
to playing for the Buckeyes in Fall of 2007.
Missy Trujillo has signed with Cal State Monterey Bay and will be
competing for a First Base spot on this second year team. Missy is
the only player to play for the Sting every season since it started
back in 1998!!! The Sting appreciates her loyalty and dedication
and wishes her luck in Monterey. (9/25/06)
Jenna Yoder and Haley Abbott have signed a Letter of Intent to
attend Southeastern Louisiana for Fall 2006. Jenna has been
with the Sting for four seasons and has worked extremely hard to
join the elite ranks of being a competitive D1 pitcher. Haley joined
the Sting this past summer and played for Valley Christian High in
San Jose where she was selected to the First Team All League in
the tough WCAL league. The Sting wishes them both the best of

Blossom Hill Valley Athletic League (BVAL) has named Robyn
Araujo (16U Sting, Westmont HS) ‘Sophomore of the Year’. Both
Robyn and Sting teammate Alicia Noriega (Oak Grove HS) were
named to BVAL’s 1st team. Congrats to you both. (7/03/06)
Brittany Hendrickson has signed a Letter of Intent to attend the
University of Pacific in Stockton this Fall. Britt has been with the
San Jose Sting program for five seasons in centerfield and has been
the leader of the outfield. She played softball at Valley Christian
High School and earned All League honors every year in the tough
West Catholic Athletic League. Please join the Sting Family in
wishing her a warm congratulations and continued success!!!
16U take 1st Place at 2006 NorCal Championships headed for
Nationals in Seattle. 14U, 12U and 10U headed for Regionals
in Vacaville, Ca and Las Vegas (and Vegas) respectively.

Sting 18U Gold Kaitlyn Rauschnot has verballed to attend Santa
Clara University and play softball. Kaitlyn is coming off a very
successful high school softball season where she pitched the Valley
Christian team into a #4 ranking in the State,received MVP honors
at the Livermore Stampede tournament, and recently received Most
Valuable Pitcher in the West Catholic Athletic League. She has been
with the Sting family for three seasons. (6/01/06)
Chana’e Jones has verballed to the University of Oklahoma. Nae
has been with the San Jose Sting program for four years and was
instrumental in helping her team finish 5th twice at the ASA
Nationals in her 12U and 14U season. She will be joining her Sting
teammate from last year, Samantha Ricketts, who was voted as the
lone freshman to earn First Team All-Big 12 honors for OU this past
season. Please join the Sting Family in wishing her a warm

letters of intent from the University of Hawaii and Hawaii Pacific

The Sting 2006 Annual Steak Feed was a huge success April 22,
2006!!! With over 400 participants and 225 pounds of mouth
watering ‘Santa Maria” style Tri-tip beef, guests had good fellowship
with the teams. Thanks to all for your generous contributions.

Letty Olivarez and Shannon Krein (Sting 18 Gold) have signed
National Letters of Intent to play in 2006-07 for the
Univ. of Wisconsin Badgers
Sting 16U Team run the table (6-0-0) to win the Triple Crown
Hearts of Fire Qualifier in Santa Maria on Feb. 13, 2006.
Congratulations to the 10U, 14U, and 16U Sting teams for ALL
placing 9th at 2005 ASA Nationals!!!
